In Hawaii, in the late 80s, our President, Peter Honeyman, (hence those killer-looking arrow-bees) was active in the islands tourist-driven gift industry. There he became keenly aware of thousands of visitors leaving Honolulu airport daily on their way home, wanting a last minute momento of their wonderful holiday. Invariably these were fresh-cut exotic tropical flowers. Peter knew only too well that, by the time those visitors completed their long journeys, their beautiful flowers would be sorry, wilted and all too soon destroyed. With his love of flowers, and having spent a business life involved with color, texture and design, he saw a special opportunity to create the perpetual, fresh-cut, wearable flower. This to retain the integrity of the flowers original beauty and pliable texture, yet, above all, making it practical to wear - repeatedly, still looking fresh! It must be distinctively different and not confused with dried flowers, glass, porcelain, silk or paper flowers or real flowers preserved in glycerin for display purposes, none of which are practical to wear. All this in contrast to the so pretty, yet still flat, pressed flowers that were the origin of our business. Unable to find any existing process for his purposes, he set about developing his own. It took many years, and many set backs, each serving to fire more determination to succeed. Peter claims a trail of destroyed flowers behind him. Finally, with patents pending, his processes now at last do truly allow him the unique claim to the perpetual, fresh cut, wearable flower. His own designs make them all the more desirable to wear, selling actively as gifts worldwide through our specialist boutique business. We view our products as wearable floral art, not jewelry. That last word is in our name for simplicity and identification in a general sense only. Our settings upon which we display our flowers are merely the vehicles for such floral displays - rather as a painters canvas is the vehicle on which to creatively brush paints and produce visual images. Our art therefore is in our flowers, their preservation and presentation, so as to be desirable and practical to wear. Everyone in our company in one way or another constantly makes artistic contribution. Not the least of these are Patrick Burke and Phil Spingola, our photographer and webmaster respectively, both gifted, and without whom you would not be reading this right now. For more of their skills and artistry, go to Links on our menu. Were proud theyre on our team. If you have managed to read this far, then hopefully our presentation will convince you to accept us as your source for unique, enjoyable, sought after gifts in which case we shall be delighted and most grateful to supply you with our perpetual, fresh cut, wearable flowers!
