Alexandra Imports is a tribute to everything that I enjoy in life: travel, creativity, beauty, journalism, adventure and Indian culture. My fascination with India began with my dads life mission to go see the Taj Mahal and I was fortunate to be invited as his traveling companion. India was, and still is, one of the most fabulous places I have ever been with an incredible array of people, landscape, culture, artistry and day-to-day existences. The rich smells, the colorful saris, the chaos of the markets and the serenity of the Himalayas are all images that will stay with me for a lifetime as I continue to cultivate a relationship with this vast country. Id like to think that the jewelry of Alexandra Imports embodies a piece of the fascinating location of Jaipur, India and that the recipients of this jewelry feel empowered by the rich cultural context of each piece. It feels only natural to give something back to the place where this jewelry originates as well as foster change in my own community. Alexandra Imports has forged a relationship with two nonprofits, one in India and one in the Pacific Northwest, and will give 5% of the companys profits back to both organizations.
